ABOUT

Vincentius Jerry Adiguna Caswara

Documenting People, Craft, and the Culture of Time

With a background in International Relations and Political Science from Parahyangan University and professional training in Visual Journalism through Internews at the University of Indonesia, his work bridges documentary depth and commissioned storytelling.

He joined The Jakarta Post in 2006, where he spent fourteen years as a photojournalist and multimedia editor. His assignments spanned political transitions, social change, and everyday life across Indonesia, shaping a practice rooted in context, precision, and human perspective.

Since 2020, he has worked independently through JADIGUNA Images, specializing in portraiture, documentary, and commercial visual narratives. His approach combines journalistic discipline with refined visual execution, serving brands, institutions, and individuals who value authenticity and long-term relevance.

A long-time member of the Indonesian Photojournalist Association (PFI), he served as chairman from 2010 to 2015, collaborating with institutions including Panna Photo Institute, Antara Photojournalism Gallery, the Indonesia Press Council, and the Ministry of Information to strengthen photojournalism education and professional standards in Indonesia.

In recent years, his work has increasingly explored themes of craft, preservation, and mechanical culture—reflecting a broader interest in how objects, professions, and traditions carry memory across generations.

Guided by the principle Ad maiorem Dei gloriam, he continues to pursue visual work with integrity, discipline, and a respect for time.
