Founder of JADIGUNA Images & MA/TA Visual Communication
Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Parahyangan in Bandung, combined with Visual Journalism training from Internews at the University of Indonesia, his creative work often explores themes of diversity, social change, and people’s everyday lives.
His professional career was guided by the motto ‘Ad maiorem Dei gloriam,’ meaning ‘For the greater glory of God.
Joining The Jakarta Post Daily Newspaper in 2006, he established himself as a photojournalist and multimedia editor. After leaving the newspaper in 2020, he founded JADIGUNA Images, a professional creative visual agency dedicated to delivering high-quality, engaging content to clients. The agency aims to help clients tell compelling visual stories that resonate with their stakeholders.
With extensive experience and a strong network in photojournalism, he is an active member of the Indonesian Photojournalist Association (Pewarta Foto Indonesia / PFI). During his tenure as PFI chairman (2010-2015), he collaborated with key stakeholders like the Panna Photo Institute, Antara Photojournalism Gallery, Indonesia Press Council, and the Ministry of Information to establish infrastructure for enhancing photojournalism education in Indonesia. One such initiative is the Permata Photojournalist Grant (PPG) workshop, which provides advanced training to working photojournalists in the country.
In MA/TA Visual Communication, he created the latest joint venture, a dynamic creative agency specializing in powerful storytelling through captivating visuals, dedicated to supporting initiatives that drive positive social change, including people empowerment, environmental conservation, and indigenous tribe protection.
By combining creative artistry with a deep understanding of these critical issues, MA/TA Visual produces visually impactful content that resonates with audiences and inspires action. From stunning photography and evocative cinematography to innovative graphic design, MA/TA delivers exceptional visual storytelling that leaves a lasting impression.
